statəcraft opens at IMMA with launch of Hit Parade, March 16, 2016
The statəcraft research hub in IMMA Project Spaces opened on March 16, 2016 with the launch of Hit Parade, a sound art podcast by Michelle Doyle
. Hit Parade is a podcast series that meditates on the word “occupation”; from squatting, military states, national borders, time spent doing activities and even labour itself. Being occupied by something is a process which can be enjoyable yet could ultimately be a distraction. Each episode comprises of soundscapes, dialogue and found sounds as a form of investigation. Visitors to statəcraft participated in group ‘listenings’ to Hit Parade in IMMA Studios.
